Ben Talbert, principal of McDowell High School, presented a program today entitled “I didn’t know you could take that – Changing Curricula at MHS.”

It amazed us how many elective options the high school offers.  Here is a partial list:

Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Southern Literature, African American Studies, Zoology, Astronomy, Medicinal Chemistry, Forensic Science, Cosmology and Culture Past and Present, The American Civil War, The Bible As History, World Philosophies, Ethics and Leadership, International Politics and Debate, Intro to Western Political Thought, Discrete Math, Teacher Cadet, German, Mandarin Chinese, Dance Fitness, Jazz Band, Music Theory, Hospitality and Tourism, Equine Science, Photography, Webpage Design, Offset Press Operations, etc, etc
