This week’s Rotary of Marion speaker was Beth Browning with the Child Advocacy Center. The Child Advocacy Center, also known as The Gingerbread House, has a child-friendly atmosphere that primarily strives to reduce the trauma of an abused child situation. The Gingerbread House’s main purpose is to coordinate the efforts of the various agencies who intercede in child abuse cases. The Gingerbread House team also works to ensure that the victims and their families get assistance with other treatments and services as needed.
