This week’s Marion Rotary Club guest speaker was Rotarian Elizabeth House. Elizabeth gave an in-depth historical presentation of the first charter and president of Marion Rotary Club. She continued by giving personal and professional details of the first president, Dr. P.N. Devere who was an optometrist. Elizabeth concluded her presentation with details of the official charter celebration of club 4928 which took place in 1939. Details of the celebration included a list of charter members and the menu for the event which included Rotary wheel ice cream!
