This week’s Rotary of Marion guest speakers were Rotarian Bob Haggard and Dr. Winston Payne with the Medical Outreach in Honduras. Both men told of their first hand experience of providing eye care for thousands of Hondurans. Rotary is currently collecting eyeglasses for this project. Using a lensometer, an ophthalmologist will measure the strength of the donated glasses and match those to the patient in order to give the gift of sight. If you have old prescription eyeglasses or reading glasses that you are no longer using, you can bring those to Rotarian Jim Goldsmith.
